Profil recherché :
Criteria/skills of the candidate:
- Engineer (or equivalent) in weather and/or climate science, high performance computing science, physics or related discipline.
- Good knowledge and experience in numerical weather and/or climate modeling.
- Excellent computing skills in high-level computer languages (especially FORTRAN and C/C++) and experience with UNIX/LINUX environments and scripting languages (bash, Python).
- Experience in HPC architecture and parallel programming.
- Knowledge of model climate data formats (GRIB, NetCDF).
- Computer programming experience related to solving scientific computing problems.
- Good knowledge in model evaluation methods and tools.
- Good knowledge of Moroccan and north African climate is highly appreciated.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and writing are important. Fluency in French and English are required.
- Ability to travel for missions of several months (up to 6 month per year) outside Morocco (e.g. in France).
